There's no email client included, but that's because there are so many other email clients you can use ... Mozilla, Mozilla Thunderbird, Pegasus, Eudora, maybe Evolution (not sure it runs on Windows, if that's what you're using). Try Thunderbird and see what you think. In some ways it's simpler than Outlook, but in other ways, more capable.
