I tried to follow the instructions to "REPAIR" the Open Office and it told
me I have to insert a DISK for OpenOffice 1.1.0. I don't have such a disk?
Did the people I purchase the computer from not give me this Disk and I
should have it??? Sincerely, David Gabrielsen

Why is it SO hard for you computer GEEKS to understand that HUMAN BEINGS
are using your program and you need to give us instructions that are
HUMAN
BEING USER FRIENDLY!!!!
It may be true that we sometimes mistakenly assume a certain level of
knowledge but that is no excuse to call people names.
I just went to your address that is SUPPOSE To solve my problem with your

To solve your problem :
http://documentation.openoffice.org/faqs/various_topics/019.html
I went to the SEARCH FUNCTION and pasted in the HUGE address you have
listed to locate under "ALL FILES AND FOLDERS:
C:\Program
Files\OpenOffice.org1.x.x\user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.x
cu.
You never mention which version of OpenOffice.org you were using, nor the
version of
Windows that you use. Also it is a good idea to keep the original text (as
I have done)
so that it is easy for others to follow the "conversation".
So if the version of OpenOffice.org you use is 1.1.5 then go to the folder
"c:\Program Files"
where you should see a folder for your OpenOffice.org installation (e.g.
OpenOffice.org-1.1.5).
After that the offending files is in that folder at the following path
user\registry\data\org\openoffice\Office\Common.xcu
