I think the bottom line is that if OOo doesn't meet your requirements, you are free to find other software that does, and you needn't have spent a small fortune just to try it. OOo provides all that I need, and then some. I use it for all my written work in my Master's program, which need to be submitted in MS-Office format (.doc, .xls, .ppt) and have not had any problems so far (going on two years -- almost done!). I think OOo is a great product. The lack on "integrated email" doesn't bother me. "File...Send...Document as email" brings up a Thunderbird Compose window with my document as an attachment. Templates? I'm not a big template user, but I have one for APA format that works well. Macros? OOo can do macros, but (AFAIK) doesn't process MS-Office macros. Givn the security concerns with MS-Office macros, I don't count that as a problem. Clipart? There's plenty of clipart out there on the web; not having it bundled with OOo shouldn't be an issue, especially since OOo is already a sizable download. -- John ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
