Excel doesn't let you do this either. I selected multiple non-contiguous
cells and tried :

   - ctrl + C
   - Right click then copy
   - Right click then cut
   - Edit > copy

All came back with an error message of "That command cannot be used on
multiple selections." I'm using Excel 2003 on winXP-pro.
 In saying that OOo cannot do it either (using all of the methods described
above).
 There must be something that limits this functionality within these
spreadsheets.
