Thanks I will download the upgrade. I will sign on to the users list
and save an example file and submit it and continue to get this OO
spreadsheet to print reports. I do not print from "preview", but from
under the File drag down menu. The driver with the HP work good
for all other office printing, Comcast emails, Open Office Write prints
multiple pages of text, pdf's and jpeg proofs print good, just not my
multiple page spreadsheets I want to print as "sorted reports" so I dont
think it is a driver problem with HP, just print range problems within
the data of my spreadsheets on OO

Thanks for the response on this tread. I appreciate your simplistic
way of communicating what information you need from me.
I have received many (thanks) comments from [email protected]
so far I have been unable to contact the consultants for Oregon
and Washington...
To answer your current questions:
a. we use Open Office 1.1.3
This is EOLed. Current release is 1.1.5. Please upgrade soonest.
b. using "export as pdf" under "File" creates a large file (1.1 meg)
apears
to be a two page document with a print image of 1/2" x 8" on portrait
setting. Not working.
Do not understand this. See below.
c. We print black and white, multi page emails and
proof images print fine saved as jpeg and pdf - like with our adv. saved
as .pdf for the print house... I only have trouble with printing OO
docs.
I have not been able to export from OO yet successfully, but that
doesn't bother me as much as not being able to print reports from
the OO spreadsheets.
OOo does not have an email client so I do not understand how you could
be using OOo to read email.
d. HP LaserJet 1012.
Do you have proper drivers. HP's are known to have driver problems.
e. print range... I can go in and define a print range by dragging
my cursur from A1 to M702. the entire 10 months of data entry for
banking transactions but still I can only preview page one and it
only prints page one.
Do not print from preview is probably the best answer I can give. Use
File > Print dialogue.
This document was created to watch check
numbers, sorted by check number and should print out as a 20 page
document (hard copy) as a report (portrait) My viewer for pdf is
Gnome Ghostview 2.8.0 -it works with other pdf's.
I would like to suggest that you prepare an example copy of your
spreadsheet. Please enter an issue into Issue
Tracker as this is the best way to have problems such as this evaluated.
If you haven't already registered, do the following:
1. To file an issue you must register with OOo by clicking the
My Pages tab and selecting the Register link
http://www.openoffice.org/servlets/Join
2. Fill in your information
3. Reply to the confirmation email that will be sent to the address
you provided.
4. Once you have confirmed, go to www.openoffice.org again
5. And click on the "My Pages" tab from which you can file and find
issues.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. It is important that you file
any examples with the issue to ensure your need is understood.
