hi.
i am using the base version of openoffice 2.0 mostly on linux but sometimes on
windows. the only thing i lack is the possibility to make openoffice display
date and times localized.

for example, in the Open file dialog the file dates are given on US-format, that
is 10/26/2005 for today.
however i would like OO to display the date on the format 2005-10-26.

on linux, i tried setting LC_TIME=sv_SE (export LC_TIME=sv_SE) but that didn't
seem to help. can i acheive the time localization without installing swedish
localization?

if yes, how.
if no, suppose i install swedish localization, can i still use english
interface, how do i set it up?

many thanks in advance

Under tools->options go to Language Settings->Languages. Change Locale to Swedish. Everything stays in English but dates in the "open file" dialog display YYYY-MM-DD.

Worked for me on linux.
