[users] [moderated]MSS Word (Windows XP) document will not transfer to Open Office Word Processor.

OpenOffice.org version other on Linux.In area Writer, MS Word (Windows 
XP) document will not transfer to Open Office Word Processor. Trying to 
move files from my WINDOWS XP system (including Ms WORD) to L'inspire, 
and the Word documents to Open Office (or their other word processors). 
I get only pages full of xxx's, neatly arranged over several pages.What 
am I doing wrong?And yes, I've checked all the suggested places.Finally, 
the Open Office version is 1.1.3.Thanks
