From another member of this mailing list: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The steps are as follows: 1. Unzip the archive, which will install a whole bunch of rpms onto your hard drive 2. Go to the directory the where the rpms are 3. alien -i *.rpm will convert the rpms to debs and then install them 4. There will be a desktop sub-directory that has the files for integrating with Gnome etc. Go to that and use alien to install the relevant file. I don't know if this will produce any better result than using synaptic unless you have a very non-standard setup. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
