G'day,

If I read you correctly, you are asking if there are conversion filter
for your works files. The short answer is, no. However, if you use Works
to save your files in RTF format, OpenOffice.org can import these easily
and you can then format them as you like.

As to letters et cetera, OOo uses templates. There are many sources of
templates but the easiest one is to use the collection at
http://documentation.openoffice.org/ The direct link is
http://documentation.openoffice.org/Samples_Templates/index.html and all
the templates are usable in OOo1.1.x and OOo2.0 so no worries.
You might also like to have a look at the User Guides and HOW-TO
sections for other ideas and methods.
