Actually I was talking about making your document the new Default
template. You build your template using default styles or your own and
they stay as part of the template and you will find this approach is
easy. What is good about this is that it is described in Help under
Contents > Index > Search term > default documents. Paragraph and
character default styles cannot be changed except in the current
document which is why you should think in terms of templates. For an
example see on of the ones we use in documentation
