Except that you can't use date formats if the cells you're counting

real dates. You'll have to use the numbers that represent the dates:

=COUNTIF(A1:A100;">38715.6362420139")+COUNTIF(A1:A100;"<39079.6362420139")-COUNT(A1:A100)
