Wrong interpretation of YES. What I meant to say is that OOBBase is an
integral part of OOo buts depends on a working JRE. I believe JRE1.5 is
the one of choice but it could easily be one of the later 1.4 versions.

And you could just as easily use MySQL, psotgresql, Oracle, Sybase et
cetera with the appropriate driver. JDBC if you like Java is one.
