Hello ! I have a time problem while opening a directory. This directory is a smbfs share on an other server. Client and Server are connected by ISDN (128 kbit/s) and both are Linux-Debian (OO Version 2.0).
When opening a file, I have to wait for some minutes. While waiting I see a lot of traffic going over the ISDN line. What happens ? What can I do to make it faster ? Doing a "ls -l" works much faster (within 10 s when the line was down and automounter was off, within 1 s when line and automounter are up). regards, Ralf Baerwaldt --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
