First of all, thanks for the replies. I'm still clueless on what the problem.
At first I thought it might be exactly that, a key that might be pressed without me knowing about it, or some kind of active state that made the keys unusable. But if so, the problem would also reflect in the other OOffice programs, which work 100% fine. The problem only appears in OOWriter for Windows only, which is very strange. What does OOWriter for Windows has more than the other OO programs in terms of keyboard handling?
