People will look at it and assign it a priority. Depending on the
perceived priority of the bug, it will firstly be confirmed as a bug in
OO (as opposed to the OS or your individual system) then put into the
queue to be fixed.

You will get emails every step of the process and invited to submit
more info, if required. Also you can track progress on the "My Issues"
page at openoffice.org.

I've submitted two bugs, one of which was corrected quickly and will be
fixed in the next release of OO. The other seems to be an intermittent
quirk which will probably never be tracked down. But the programmers
are very responsive.
