Well...I'm discouraged. We should be doing better than this.
Problem 1: Openoffice 2.0 is staging crash fests on both FC3 machines.
On the home machine, a PIII 320K, I'm editing a very large file. It's
slow, and we have a lot of crashes. OK...maybe slow is to be expected,
but crashes shouldn't. The office machine is a PIV with half a gig (I
think). I'm editing a small, 15 page, outline. Many many crashes.
Hi Stew,
I use OOo 2.0 on FC4. The specs are Centrino with 512MB ram. I have crashes
once in a while, but I don't think it's OOo related. More because my notebook
has been damaged when I dropped it some time ago. The damage is resulting
unexpected keyboard pressing.
Two installs of FC4 with the RH version of OOo 2.0. Random crashes
ranging from a few minutes to over 30 minutes to working like a dream
and not crashing for ages. All with the same document > 20,000 words.
There is a bug reported on the fedora bugzilla about this.
I am about to try the OOo org site because of the JAVA issue.
