When you put the paper in the printer there are to bits of plastic that you slide -- one tells the printer how long the page is and one for width -- they also "guide" the paper in the tray my guess would be that A6 is the closet size you printer "knows" to the page size you are trying to print. Why not set up for a supported size and trim the paper printing rather than before?

Thanks

Andy,
This printer was an HP Laserjet 1010. But the paper I was using was the size I had set (7.33" x 10"). I don't know where the printer got A6! But what little gizmo are you talking about? I can't see anything here.
Thanks,
Tapas

what kind of printer do you have -- many printers sense the size
of
the paper in the tray and over ride any software settings -- it
drives me bonkers when I go to print envelopes on my hp and forget
to
push in the little gizmo that senses then short edge of the paper -
-
it seems to have an uncanny ability to know just when I sit back
down
at my desk before it starts beeping!

Thanks
