I'm running OpenOffice.org v2.0 on a RH9 system. I created a document
with swriter, inserting a few math equations (by
Insert->Object->Formula). The people that need to read it use MS Office
2003 (on XP systems). On the Tools->Options->Load/Save->Microsoft
Office window, I have OpenOffice.org Math to MathType checked (as in
convert from OpenOffice.org Math to MS MathType when saving the file).
They tell me that they see boxes in the math equations instead of the
correct symbols. If they edit the equation, then all the symbols appear
correctly (just the act of editing, without changing anything, is enough
to get the correct symbols to appear). Maybe MS Word MathType isn't
activated in showing the correct symbols until that first edit?

Maybe a font like OpenSymbol doesn't exist on the computer with Word,
then when re-opening formula, it "translate" font in an other one?????
