I honestly believe you will find little difference between downloading
and e-mail. Once in your GMail inbox you will need to download it from
there.
Do you require the English-US or the Japanese version?
Do you want it for Windows, Linux, Mac or Solaris?
My best suggestion is for you to either:
Use a downloader with resume available from a site like,
http://www.tucows.com/downloads/Windows/Internet/DownloadManagers/
or
Buy it on CD from one of the distributors listed here,
http://distribution.openoffice.org/cdrom/
