Download the OpenOffice.org program from the link in the middle of the page at http://www.openoffice.org It is a very large download (~78Mb), so if you have a dial-up Internet connection you may want to get it on CD. In which case take the "CDROMs" link on the same page and find a distributor near you. Once you have downloaded or obtained the program on CD, find the installation program named "OOo_2.0.0_Win32Intel_install.exe", run (open) it and follow the on-screen instructions. When the installation is complete, you will find new entries in your "Start -> All Programs" menu. To access MS Excel files you will need to start the program called "Calc", which is the OpenOffice.org equivalent of MS Excel. For more information read the setup and user guides, which are available from http://documentation.openoffice.org/ If you are unable to find the information or guidance you need on the OpenOffice.org support pages http://support.openoffice.org/index.html please post your question (giving as much detail as possible) to [email protected] HTH Dave -- Registered Linux User #288562 http://counter.li.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
