hi . i have done the updates ,but still does not work.the document can
be viewed in microsoft word with its embedded file and jpeg pics.when
double click on a selected embedded file it gives a error _,"* error
activating objet :general ole error: "*_
please help.

On a wild guess from your description, I think you have linked the
images and have not updated the paths to them. Try Tools > Update
