TW,

You may understand complex programming instructions, but you seem to know very little about the internet.

This is a free open source project. People share the load. Part of the sharing is having multiple servers all over the world to download the software from, so no one company or entity has to burden the cost of
hosting the files.

You might get more help by admitting that your knowledge is lacking (which it clearly it is here) and
ask for help in a nice polite manner.

OO (Open Office) has the capability of talking to databases. I am not sure you will know what that is, so if you don't know, ask. It uses Java to help it out. You probably don't know what that is either, so I would suggest downloading and installing the latest version http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp

the XPI install uses your browser to install. The other button downloads an EXE (that is a program) that you
need to run and install the Java environment.

Since downloading and installing was so difficult to begin with for you, you might want to ask someone that actually knows something about windows and downloading free software from the internet to help you.

If you still feel compelled to try this on you own, maybe you could leave the attitude at the door, and we will be glad to help you. I say we, because as a free software product, there is no company doing support,
but other users of OO. We help each other for free.

Stumbled onto your website and thought I might download your product to try.
At first, I thought your software was to be basically easy to understand and
to use. However, your product must be for highly technical experienced users
who understand complex programming instructions. My experience level
is probably considered moderate as I have done some light programming many
years ago and I find your process to download extremely complicated and
confusing. Was not able to download anything as there are numerous links that
appear to be involved.
I have to say that from a layman’s standpoint, your product(s) appear way too difficult. Windows has a simple DOWNLOAD process. I do not even understand the difference between the various USA download sites. Again, from a layman’s standpoint, your product appears to have “keep out” written all over it. What am I missing here? P.S.: Interestingly, just attempted to e-mail you via Outlook and out of the blue, Outlook decided to reject the transmission and won't seem to recognize my user name and password now. I even copied the above message from Outlook which included your e-mail address. It copied all except, your address. Coincidential?
