Thank you for your response, Dan!
Yes indeed, I do have the Debian version of OOo. I have the last version of 
JRE installed. I have tryied removing OOo and reinstalling the Debian version 
from scratch, but the problems persists, even using your slide show?
Do you think I should report these errors to the Debian repository?
