I've been trying to learn how to use a CSV file as a data source (the
CSV file gets overwritten by database exports from Filemaker Pro, so
I want to use the CSV file as the master data source). In the
process, I've ended up with a number of failed attempts, some with
identical or nearly identical names. I want to delete these data
source references but I can't seem to find any documentation on how
to do this.
Can anyone tell me how it's done?
(BTW, the Help tool mentions the following: "Marks the selected data
source for deletion from the list. You can also press the Delete key.
Only the reference to the data source is deleted, and not the data
source." Aside from this being an incomplete sentence that makes no
sense to me, the delete key does nothing in the Data Source Explorer,
instead it deletes the characters nearest the delete key in the
document, even when a data source is selected in the explorer.)
Well, after a little more research, I think I did find the answer. It
looks like the only way to do this is through the
Tools->Options->Base->Connections menu. Is this right?
yes
