Sounds like pretty well the same as my problem - crudely, the .xlc file
appears to be a list of .xlb library files, and one of that list points
to an old, defunct, installation directory.

The config files look complex to my uninitiated eye. I wonder if
there's any mileage in having a consistency checker available, which
might catch this sort of error?

I don't know if it's any help to anyone, but when upgrading I opted for
the 'parallel' installation, so had 1.1.4 (?) as well as 2.0 on my
system. I also requested my settings be imported from the old version.
I didn't try 'draw' until after removing the old OOo version -- maybe
it would have worked correctly till then. I'm /almost/ sure that
"writer" has been saving OK all the time though, but having fixed
things, can't easily check now.

Anyway, I now know where to look to fix this fault, and have even
looked through the manual - a lot of work there! Thanks to all.
