I feel your pain - I've been running into some bugs (with 1.9
something and with 2.0) in making labels. As long as you aren't using
conditional text, however, you should be OK.

First, select File -> New -> Labels. Pick the type of label you're
printing, and then pick the "Options" tab. Select "Synchronize
contents", so that the FORMAT of each label matches the first. Then,
under the "Labels" tab, select your database and table. Use the
"Database field" dropdown to move your fields into the text box to
the left, to get the layout of the label correct. Hit "New Document"
when finished.

After that, make any changes needed to the first label. Once the
first label looks the way you want it to, move to the end and select
Insert -> Fields -> Other, select "Database", and under type, select
"Next Record". Hit "Insert" then "Close".

Now, click the "Synchronize Labels" button in the small window to
make all the labels match the first.

Now, select View -> Data Sources, and pick the database you want to
merge from. Select the records you want to print labels for (probably
all of them), and hit the button with the large green box between
black lines (Tooltip: "Data to Fields"). That will merge all your
labels and make them all different.

The biggest problem with this is that you can only print a page full
of labels at a time. It's hugely annoying. If your list spans
multiple pages, you'll need to select them one page's worth at a
time.

Also, I've found that using conditional text in labels seems to make
OO crash. It will recover, and work OK, but inserting it crashes OO
every time.

Good luck!
