Hi all,
We are using OOo v2.0 on various MS Windows flavours.
So far so good, it's been about 3 months since we replaced MS Office.
Today one of my user complain that he cannot make a link to another file using
Calc. He gets an Err522 in the field.
I try to duplicate it in my notebook (OOo v2.0 on Linux) and the link works.
So I suspect that his OOo installation is broken, maybe because of MS Office
viruses? Becuase he still uses MS Office format such as XLS and DOC.
His sheet is like this (OOo v2.0 on win98):
A1: 1000
A2: 2000
A3: A1+A2
A4: 4000
A5: 5000
A6: 6000
A7: SUM(A4:A6)
A8: A3+A7
He tries to link A8 to another calc file.
He gets Err522, when he makes the link =+filename.sheet1.A8
Interestingly, the link works if he uses DDE Link.
I can make the link (ordinary link) works in my notebook.
So, my question:
1. What causes the error? Should I reinstall his OOo?
2. What is the effect of MS Office viruses on OOo documents that still use MS
Office format?
Thank you very much,
Is the file name absolute? Relative?
