Thanks again for pointing out TurboCad Designer.
It is listed under

but unfortunately it no longer appears be available for a free trial,
and I am somewhat reluctant to buy software without being able to try
it firts.
I have written to TurboCad customer services, but I'm not holding my
breath :-(
