Yeah, that's what I have now. Basically just a bunch of svg, png, and txt files arranged in folders by category.
I'm curious as to what gets installed if one were to manage that. Is there some sort of viewer program or applet? I notice that there's an index of some sort, so I assume there's a viewer program that utilizes that index to help you find stuff. As it is I just have to browse them using a generic image viewer.
