Hi Cindy,
Look in the system tray (next to the clock) and check that the openoffice quickstarter is not running. It's a little icon with birds flying. If it's there, right click it and select 'exit'. Then add/remove should work. If that still doesn't work, find the openoffice install directory, most likely 'C:\Program Files\OpenOffice.org 1.1\program', or something close, run setup.exe and choose the 'remove' option. You could keep both programs, just install MSO as you normally would. If it's already installed, you might have to repair your MS file extension associations. There's a FAQ on how to do that on the openoffice.org web site.

Hello,
 I need some help!
My computer guru installed OpenOffice 1.1.4 on my computer. I want to use Microsoft
Office as I already have the program. How do I UNinstall OpenOffice, if my add or remove
programs won't acknowledge my "remove" command.
Thanks for any help you can offer,
 Cindy
