this may fall in the category of "too difficult to be worth it".
I want to maintain the same document in two different places. Formatting is not going to be complex. At most simple font or style changes (bold, italics etc.). One place would be on a Web site (higher-level markup, not HTML), and the other place would be obviously open office. The document can be edited on both sides although on the web site changes would mostly be copy editing.
how difficult would it be to decimate open office markup down to some simpler format for the purposes of comparison? And then, if they were changes on the simple markup side, promoting those changes back into the open office document?
