My main response to Marcus and Ray is:
To each his own, and, there are many ways to peel an orange.

There are those who help by providing the CD service, so far I donot have to.
I
might as I get older, and, will appreciate it. I was just trying to explain,
that there
are different ways.

  Right now I am trying to learn, and , find that doing is a great teacher.
Not only
how to use OOo and other computer stuff, but, how to sweae, curse better.

You still have to take into account the time you are online and will have to pay
your phone company connection fees, and also the fees you have to pay your ISP
if you don't have a flat rate. Then there is also the price for the CD-R...

Time on line, as I said I multitask, Phone bill is local monthly charge, ISP
is
300hr/m (lowerst amount avail). I have not made a CD-R yet but plan on to give
to
the local library but they are less than 50 US cents in bulk.

While there are some people that have patience to do a very large
download on dial-up, there are some computer users out in this world
that only know two functions to the computer: ON and OFF.
+++++++++++
Then would these people know how to install after buying a disk?
+++++++++++++
  The people on Ebay are basically doing a service for OpenOffice.Org and are
NOT getting rich doing it. Consider the costs of the CD's, labels, CD
envelopes and shipping envelopes...plus Ebay gets a percentage....they
certainly are not making money.
+++++++++=
Agreed, but so far it is easier and cheaper for me to download somethings, and
buy
others. It is great that there is a choice.

One of the questions I answered when I downloaded OOo was the type of
support you could give the product.
+++++++++
I am not sure what you mean here, who support the product,
 the writers?  that is here
the users? I am trying in my way
the whole concept, I am also trying in my way.
+++++++++++++

 While I know they would like
money (the first item), any support in getting the product out to the
world is also a very legitimate support. The only thing I would like
to see these sellers is the fact that the download is FREE for
downloading on the Internet and the CD is for their convience.

Even M$ at one time would charge $4.95 for a copy of large upgrades if
you didn't want to do the download. It surprised me when they offered
Windows XP SP2 on a FREE CD (they didn't charge for shipping).
