all of my power point presentation I get are now opend by open office
since
i installed the program. How do i make power point veiwer my default p.p.
veiwer ?
open office will not make these open properly. i have looked through
tools
prefrences ect; and no change. some how o.o. has changed my prefereances.
i have to save the document to a folder or my desktop and open it from
there and it will open in p.p. before all i had to do was open the files
when they came to me and it wold open in the p.p. veiwer. now it opens in
O.o. and does nothing but open a window in the center with slides on the
left side. i can't even figure out how to make O.o. run the p.p. file
like
p.p veiwer does.

I suspect that when you installed OOo you opted for it to be the default
application for PP files.
To fix it, and I'll assume you are using Windows XP,
Open "My Computer"
Click the TOOLS menu
Click Folder Options
Click the tab captioned "File Types"
Find the Powerpoint file type in the list and select it
The bottom of the dialog details how the file type is opened by default.
Click the CHANGE button to select a different application to open it with
Click Apply, click OK
That should do it
