This IS critical for a database application, no matter what platform. For 
example, there's a predefined recipe table supplied with OO, only it has just 
one "ingredient" field, which is incorrect if you're going to print well 
designed and printed recipes. You have to create enough "ingredient" fields 
to provide enough entries for the "largest" recipe you have, and obviously, 
when you do a merge in writer, you don't want a lot of empty lines included 
in your finished copy.
