I have a Dell Insprion 6000 laptop with Windows XP. I downloaded the Windows version of OpenOffice.org, and I noticed that, when I save a document as a Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP document, Word will not open it. In fact, the document doesn't even appear when I try to use Word. (I have Word 2003). It is as though the document doesn't exist. Yet on OpenOffice the Word icon with the document appears in full view. Is there a fix for this?
