Did I hear you right? There are no such things as "OpenOffice Excel" files. There are only Microsoft Office Excel files. Do you mean OpenOffice Calc files, which are otherwise known as OpenDocument Format Spreadsheet files? They have the extension .ods - or if you are still using OpenOffice 1.x, then you are with the old StarOffice Calc sxc files.
