Which suggests that you may be illiterate in a different way - computer illiterate. One does not require any MS products in order to have spellcheck capability. I have never used any MS products since the release of Win95, and I have always had spell-checking on all my applications - first under OS/2 Warp4 and subsequently under various distributions of Linux. As a matter of fact, if you are using any of the popular distributions of Linux, you in fact *do* have a spell-checker - you just apparently don't realize it. By the way, I'm on your side when it comes to distorting the name of the Redmond Borg, despite acknowledgment that Chad is entitled to his opinion :-) I'm copying your personal address since I have no way of knowing whether you're subscribed to this list.
