I would suggest setting the filters in the Open dialog box to All Files and then clicking on the file you want. That works for me except when the file is corrupted. Then if there is still a problem, let us know, and let us know how you've configured your OO.org 2.0.1 installation. Some people who know a lot more than I do, may be able to help you there.
