Hi all,

After doing a bit of research and tinkering, it looks like:

1) The database connection and queries have to be defined in the database
file. The database file does not need to be open when using the queries from
the spreadsheet.
2) The database (and queries and tables) can be imported into the
spreadsheet from the tools->options->database menu
