John,
Glad I was able to help. I did do some poking around with sheet
selections and offer the following.
Selecting the sheet tabs (down at the bottom - Sheet1, Sheet2, etc. or
whatever you have them named) works much like selecting cells. Use the
Ctrl-click to select non-contiguous sheets/tabs. Use Shft-click and
you'll select everything between the two you've clicked on. Once you
have several sheets/tabs selected, you can easily unselect them by
clicking on any sheet/tab that is not already selected. That unselects
all the others and changes your focus to the one you just clicked on
(which usually is not the one you want, but it is a quick way to clear
your selection).
If you right click on a sheet/tab, then there is a choice to select all
sheets. Unfortunately, once you do that (or select all of them using
Ctrl-click or Shft-click), there is no apparent way to unselect the
sheets when you are ready to go back to working on an individual sheet.
The way to do it is go to the menu bar and select Edit --> Sheet -->
Select... This pops up a dialog box listing the sheets and you can
select the one you want then OK.
It seems to me that once multiple sheets/tabs are selected, a new item
should be added to the right-click menu that pops up if you right-click
on a sheet to unselect either the sheet you are right-clicking on or
unselect all sheets. Anybody know if this has been suggested to the
developers?

John,
Is it possible you still have multiple sheets selected?

I am using v2.0. I have changed the sheet names on the tab at the
bottom, but now, after trying to make all of the sheets in a document,
except 2, the same column widths, not I no longer get the selections to
change a sheet name when I right click on the name. I get Copy, Paste,
move/copy, etc.
Thank for your response. You have clearly identified the issue. First I
searched the menus at the top of the screen for a "check" item, like "select
multiple sheets". None found. Then I entered "multiple sheets" in the Help
search. This directed me to right click on the tab naming the sheet at the
bottom. Minimal reference to turning off the "multiple sheet" option is
given in Help. Then, I expected the bottom menu to indicate a check, so I
could toggle multiple sheets on or off, with a visual indicator of the
status. Not so. I could turn it on, but not off.
This seems to be, not a bug, but a user interface issue, that should be easy to
fix. I still do not know how to turn the feature off. I now have a vacation
tracking spreadsheet with 10 pages of identical data! Luckily, I was
entering dummy data to exercise the sheet and give me a reference tool for
the future.
Again thanks for sending me off in the right direction.
