I have a document that uses color on some of the words.
Is there a way to use Find & Replace to change the color on all such
words?
Well, perform the search: Enter the search pattern and press "Find All". You
will get all occurences of that word selected. Simply go to the "font
Color" toolbutton (or the Format>Caracter menu) and set the color. Will be
applied to ALL selected text, as usual.
Alternatively, you can use the "format" option in the Search&Replace dialog
(it appears after pressing "More options"). Go to the "Replace" box, enter
the words to write (the same as in Find, or simply"&", wich is a "magic
term" meaning, "whatever you have found") and press Format and select teh
formating (including font color) for the text OOo F&R will write.
Pretty close!
I used regular expressions and a dot as the search character. I had to
specify type face and bold for each of the characters to be found. I
also specified the color.
I would have liked it if I onky had to specify "." and the color.
Then I used & as the replacement character and specified the color of
the replacement.
It found the search "string" but only removed the color and the font,
reseting them to black and Times New Roman, respectively.
