Hi Jonathon, I notice that the format only applies on the current sheet and not for the next newly created sheet. Can I make this format included in
Calc's default?

Also, I notice from an excel file, the format is a little different:
#,##0_);[RED]\(#,##\)
Is it ok?

To keep any formats for new sheets, you will have to add them to your default
template. This is explained in the online documentation or in the OOo
knowledgebase at http://mindmeld.cybersite.com.au.
