I have now solved this! It was the PC clock that was incorrect. It was
set before openoffice 2.0.1 was released

I'm sure that it did not after I initially installed 2.0.0 so I
suspect its a feature with 2.0.1 and W98 (my XP & W2K systems are ok!!)
