I have OOO running on XP. I needed to add a hyperlink in a cell in
Calc. I selected the "button" option and found that I didn't like it
at all. However, I haven't been able to delete it. I figured that
there would probably be a "Delete" option if I could get the context
menu. I tried to get the context menu by following the Help
directions, which told me to either click on the edge of the button
or to hold the Alt key while clicking on the button. Neither did
anything at all.
Can somebody help me get rid of this thing?
Hi Tom,
This is a well known question and is listed in the OOo knowledgebase
at http://mindmeld.cybersite.com.au. You can do it simply by toggling
the link method on status bar from HYP to SEL to select the text.

Jonathon
Thanks, Jonathon. Only problem is ... there are no HYP and/or SEL
buttons on my status bar. I tried everything listed in the website
you recommended and nothing worked. Any other ideas?

Selecting the cell/s and using Format... Default Formatting might
work. Normally, right-click and Default (only available if on
hyperlink) will do it also.

correction... Default option not available if the link is identified
as spelling error, you must right-click on an area not squiggled.

Just noticed you had chosen *Button *option. Right click should allow
you to Cut the object.
