Aha, OK. Someone (not me) had been complaining that their data wasn't being
saved in the database, and this was getting blamed on 'read-only mode'. I
had a feeling this referred only to the form being read only (i.e. not in
design mode). I would say the 'read-only' message is slightly confusing
when presented to someone that is only doing data entry and has no
knowledge of editing the form layout.
I'm not aware (lack of experience) of an option to export direct from an
ODT.
A good option for you:
Select the table in the view with tables;
Right-click and choose copy;
Open a Calc-document;
Past your data ..!
Now choose File|Save As and choose .csv.
That's perfect, thanks. I never imagined that pasting an entire database
table directly into a spreadsheet would work!
