Thank you for the excellent package 2 Questions/problems:
1. I've re - and re- installed Open Office several times as suggested, yet, it will not automatically open MS Documents: any attempt at this fails with the message that it could not load the converter. You have to manually select MsWord97/2000/Xp every time you want to open one of those documents and its getting to be a pain in the but - can you help? 2. My brain works only at room temperature. I simply cannot follow your page set-up either on the online manuals available or with the help tips. MS Office has a feature that says "Page set-up" "Layout" "Different first page" . This means you can have a letterhead with headers for page numbering etc starting on the second page. Try as I might, I can neither get your page styles to apply or to edit the default page styles or even to create templates with page styles. Its getting to the point where I want to boot the machine up with a 25 pound hammer. Do you have no simple, easily understood, working solution for this dilemma? Your comments/assistance will be greatly appreciated as the program is otherwise ideal for my purposes Regards Jamie
