Hello Marie,

I have done a recent migration from MSoffice to OOo. I opened my old
*.ppt files with OOo impress then saved the files as *.odp.
Could be influenced by settings in Tools|Options|Load-Save|MsOffice at
the time you open the orignial Ms files?
My problem is that I cannot copy and paste slides with graphs (or
tables) originally created in MSexcell or word. When I paste the slide
(or the graph alone) the graph is replaced with an object number with a
small logo (same with duplicate page command). If I dble click on this
logo I have acces to a modified version of the graph that I cannot change.
Within an impress file the comand Insert/duplicate page give the same
result. However, I need to merge slides from different presentations in
a new one and I do not manage to copy the slides from one file to the
other keeping the graph visible.
Another idea:
- open the two presentations;
- work in the document where the copy has to be paced
- open the Navigator (F5);
- in the box at the bottom of the Navigator, select the other presentation;
- now locate for the slide you want to copy;
- right-click on it for options: copy/link/...
- choose and then drag and drop the slide in the new presentation.
I've no idea if it brings any relief in your problem (to be honust, I
doubt) however one never knows, and it is a good feature.
Succes,
Cor
I have no problems with slides containing only text and pictures.
Thank you for your help!!!
Marie
PS: Windows XP and OOo 2.0, no more MS office...
