Thanks for the reply,
If I may elaborate some more.....
I am trying to print out lecture notes from a web page, downloaded then saved in a My doc. I click on it , it then opens in writer. Once in writer I follow your instructions and change from US letter to A4 portrait. When I view this doc.in page preview, all the text appears on the A4 sheet. When I print this doc. I can only print approx. 150mm of text, despite the settings in the page tab, I receive a print out with a) 30mm left margin b) 40mm right margin
                                                         c)25mm top
                                                         d) 50mm bot
No matter how many times I change these margin settings, it prints out these same spacings I always retain the text on the left, and lose text on the right.I am unable to extend right hand margin to include missing text.?
I am appreciative of your help so far.

Hello
Can you help with the above? For the life of me I cannot fagutre how to make the printable matter extend to the ends of an A4 page.In page setup it is setup as A4, printer is setup A4.But I continue to miss words on the right hand side.
If you could help.

I suspect that you are using USletter as the the page format rather than
A4. To check open a blank writer document and then click the stylist
icon (in 2.0 this is the icon on the far right of the Format toolbar).
Next, within in the stylist window, select the fourth icon from the left
(page styles) and look to see which line is highlighted. Most likely
Default. Click on it to select and next right-click to bring up the
context menu. Select Modify and click the Page tab. Page format specs
are at the top left of this tab. If the format is Letter, change it to
A4. Lastly, as a precaution, save the document as a template and make
this template the default for your system.
