This is a known issue, yet to be fixed. A workaround from another list subscriber: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is from a posting in an earlier thread on this vexed issue: There is a link given on that discussion (although I couldn't use it) and the issue has been recognized by OOo developers etc. However try this First close Openoffice Then visit the following website and download the four files, scalc.db scalc.ht scalc.jar scalc.key http://web.mit.edu/ooffice_v2.0/distrib/i386_rhel4/openoffice.org2.0/help/en/ When downloaded put them into C:\Program Files \OpenOffice .org 2.0\help\en (using the default directory location) .... This problem is discussed in Issue 59499. I followed the advice given there and downloaded the Linux files. This has restored the Help system. I may, however, download and install the Windows Help files in your reference, above. Thank you.
