Thank you.  Now I do remember making a pivot table in the spreadsheet at some point.

Hi Marcia,
 The message indicates that you are trying to change data which is part
of a DataPilot generated area (in Excel speak like a DataPilot is like a
PivotTable).
try changing the original data the DataPilot data is based on.
